Breaking News : SASSA SRD EXTENDED TO JANUARY 2021
The President, Cyril Ramaphosa has extended the temporal Social Relief Of Distress Grant for three more months ending January 2021.
In his speech explaining his plans for economic recovery after the global pandemic announced that due to the the economic downturn the country has experienced over the months. The pandemic has had a toll on the lives of the masses especially the poor and the disadvantaged ones in the society.
This comes as a good News to most the applicants who have received their grants to continue enjoying it till January 2021.
The grant has originally been ended this month October although some of the applicants are yet receive money.
Payments are currently ongoing and most the applicants are expected to receive double payments in their bank accounts.
Others too take theirs from the Post Office.
SASSA had earlier asked applicants to switch their payments from the default post office pay point to their preferred financial institution such as ABSA Bank, FNB bank, Tyme Bank, Capital Bank etc.
We are hoping that SASSA will once again open the system for applicants to switch to their preferred bank account as that makes payments more efficient and hassle free.
