Muntukayise Bhekuyise Ntuli, better known as Bheki Ntuli, was born on the 24th of December, 1957. He was known as a prominent politician in South Africa.

In September of 2019, he was given the role of KwaZulu-Natal Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Transport, Community Safety, and Liaison. He led this committee for three consecutive terms. He held the position of chairman of the African National Congress (ANC) in the Musa Dladla area for more than 15 years.

During the time of apartheid, Ntuli was an active member of the underground formations of the African National Congress (ANC) and participated in the activities of uMkhonto we Sizwe. Almost immediately after that, he became actively engaged in the process of constructing ANC institutions in Northern Natal. After that, he was the regional head of the African National Congress (ANC) for the Musa Dladla area for a total of 15 years, and he was a member of the ANC’s Peace and Stability Committee for more than 20 years.

As an African National Congress (ANC) politician, he won the election to the National Assembly, the lower chamber of the South African parliament, in the year 1999. After pleading guilty to misusing his travel privileges, his parliamentary medical assistance, and defrauding parliament in 2003, he decided to retire from his position as a member of parliament.

Ntuli was successful in his bid for a seat in the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature in the general election of 2009. He served in the legislature for a total of nine years, during which time he was a member of several committees, including the community safety and liaison portfolio committee, as well as the transport portfolio committee, where he was the chairperson. Following Mxolisi Kaunda’s election as Mayor of the eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality, he was given the position of Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison on September 11, 2019. This position was previously held by Mxolisi Kaunda.

Bheki Ntuli.”

After the unexplained death of one of his sons, it is unfortunate that Hon. Ntuli began his new political responsibilities on such a downbeat note.
